How records and sync work
Journal, prayer, and devotion records stay on this iPhone by default. If you explicitly sign in and choose Sync now, records already in that account can be merged with the active account vault on this iPhone and the merged app records from that active vault can also be copied to that account. Sync now uses only that active account vault. Records retained in a separate local vault are not included. When the app language is English, Account & Sync is enabled, and you are signed in, resetting Road to Emmaus or choosing Begin again can also trigger that same full account merge after the journey state is saved. When the app language is English and you are signed in to Account & Sync, Come Aside may also read, merge, and repair a limited set of content-free formation metadata for that account. While the app language remains English and the signed-in session is active, Come Aside may save factual records automatically when a carrying result, new journal entry, review closure or keep, knowledge interaction, encounter, Rosary completion, prayer, or devotion action occurs. This does not include journal or prayer text and is separate from Sync now.
