Supported Areas
- Core navigation uses native buttons, text inputs, and accessible labels.
- Onboarding choices, mood selection, journal search, reminder controls, account actions, and voice-note playback expose labels or native control semantics.
- External support, privacy, accessibility, journal import, devotion start, bookmark, and milestone removal actions expose explicit VoiceOver labels and roles.
- The app uses a restrained, high-contrast palette from the Come Aside design system.
- Journal entries can include user-chosen photos and videos. Photos expose accessible labels, and videos use native playback controls.
Accessibility Support
Come Aside supports the following accessibility needs in the current app:
- VoiceOver: navigate onboarding, open Today, read the Reading screen, save a reflection, play a voice note, start a devotion, and change Settings.
- Voice Control: use native buttons, text inputs, and visible control names for the core flow.
- Larger Text: use larger system text sizes across the core app surfaces.
- Sufficient Contrast: read the app with the restrained Come Aside palette and season accent colors.
Current Limitations
- Come Aside is iPhone-first and currently supports a light interface only.
- Voice reflections are audio attachments created by the user; the app does not generate captions for those private recordings.
- Come Aside does not generate caption tracks or audio descriptions for private user-attached videos.
- Imported journal files are treated as text-only entries.
