Come Aside Accessibility
Last updated: May 21, 2026
Supported Areas
- Core navigation uses native buttons, text inputs, and accessible labels.
- Onboarding choices, mood selection, journal search, reminder controls, account actions, and voice-note playback expose labels or native control semantics.
- External support, privacy, accessibility, journal import, devotion start, bookmark, and milestone removal actions expose explicit VoiceOver labels and roles.
- The app uses a restrained, high-contrast palette from the Come Aside design system.
- The app does not include video content, so captions and audio descriptions are not applicable.
Features To Verify Before Claiming In App Store Connect
Use a production iPhone build before selecting Accessibility Nutrition Labels:
- VoiceOver: complete onboarding, open Today, read the Reading screen, save a reflection, play a voice note, start a devotion, and change Settings.
- Voice Control: complete the same core actions with visible control names.
- Larger Text: verify that all screens remain usable with larger system text sizes.
- Sufficient Contrast: verify the final production screenshots and season accent colors.
Current Limitations
- Come Aside is iPhone-first and currently supports a light interface only.
- Voice reflections are audio attachments created by the user; the app does not generate captions for those private recordings.
- Imported journal files are treated as text-only entries.
