This address handles support, privacy and deletion help, and accessibility questions. It also accepts feedback and feature requests. In the app, use Settings > About > Send feedback or Settings > About > Request a feature to start an email with helpful device details included.

Include the device model, iOS version, app version, and a short description of what happened. Do not include private journal reflections or voice recordings unless support specifically asks for a redacted example.

Account & Sync

Come Aside works without an account. If you choose to use Account & Sync, Sign in with Apple is available on supported iPhones, with an email sign-in link as a fallback. If a sign-in link does not arrive, check spam, confirm the email address, and request a fresh link from Settings > Account & Sync.

When the app language is English and an Account & Sync session is established or restored, Come Aside may also read, merge, and repair a limited set of content-free formation metadata for that account. It can include factual records that a carrying result, new journal entry, review closure or keep, knowledge interaction, encounter, Rosary completion, prayer, or devotion action occurred; it does not include journal or prayer text. While the app language remains English and the signed-in session is active, these limited records can also be written to Supabase automatically as those actions occur. This separate formation-metadata sync is not Sync now and does not automatically read all synced records or journal history.

Daily Email

The daily email starts only after you ask for it and confirm from your inbox. If the confirmation email does not arrive, check spam, confirm the email address, and ask Come Aside to send a new confirmation from Settings > Daily Email or from the website form.

Every daily email includes an unsubscribe link.

Subscriptions

Come Aside Plus subscriptions are managed through Apple in-app purchase. Use Restore purchases on the Come Aside Plus gate, or Settings > Subscription > Restore purchases after reinstalling the app or moving to a new device. Subscription cancellation and refund requests are handled through Apple.

Local Data

By default, Come Aside keeps journal, prayer, devotion, and profile records on this iPhone. Use Export my data on the Come Aside Plus gate, or Settings > About > Export my data when the app is open, to share a text JSON copy of profile, journal, devotion, milestone, and non-sensitive settings. Local voice reflection files are not included in the text export.

Use Delete local data on the Come Aside Plus gate, or Settings > About > Delete local data when the app is open, to remove profile, journal, devotion, milestone, reminder, local voice reflection data, local sessions, and the generated billing identifier from the current device.

Sync now from Account & Sync performs a bidirectional account merge. When you choose it, Come Aside fetches records already stored in the account and merges them with records in the active account vault on this iPhone. It copies the merged records to Supabase and saves the merged result on this iPhone. Depending on the records present, journal, devotion, milestone, and memory records already in the account can be restored or merged onto this iPhone. Sync now uses only the active account vault; records kept in a separate local vault are not included. Delete local data removes the main app-data copy on this iPhone and signs out the local account session. When the English formation experience is enabled, it also resets that account-scoped formation metadata. If you change the app language before deleting local data, that remote formation metadata can remain in the account; use Delete sync account to delete synced account data. Delete local data does not remove the rest of the synced account data. Use Settings > Account & Sync > Delete sync account to delete the sync account and synced data.

When the app language is English, Account & Sync is enabled, and you are signed in, resetting Road to Emmaus or choosing Begin again can also trigger the same full account merge after the journey state is saved. It can fetch account records, merge them with the active account vault on this iPhone, copy the merged records back to Supabase, and save the merged result on this iPhone. Records kept in a separate local vault are not included.

Generated spoken reflections and prayer songs are tied to the saved monthly or seasonal review they came from. Deleting that saved review removes its generated artifacts. Deleting a sync account removes generated review audio stored with that account before the account is deleted.

Voice Reflections

Voice reflection files stay local on the device. If playback fails, confirm microphone permission is enabled, save a new short voice reflection, and try playing it from Journal again.

Journal Import

Journal import accepts files selected by the user. Imported entries are text-only; local audio file paths from imported files are ignored so old device paths are not carried into the app.

Apple Journal

Compose can use Apple's Journaling Suggestions picker when you choose a personal moment for a reflection. Apple shows the picker. Come Aside receives only the moment you select, and you can remove it before saving.

Saved Come Aside reflections can be sent to Apple Journal through the iOS Share Sheet when you choose Send to Apple Journal. Come Aside does not read Apple Journal, write entries there in the background, or keep the two journals synced. If a Come Aside entry includes a local voice reflection, the shared text notes that the voice note remains in Come Aside.
