Colossians 1:24-2:3
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the assembly, of which I was made a servant according to the stewardship of God which was given me toward you to fulfill the word of God, the mystery which has been hidden for ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to his saints, to whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim him, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus; for which I also labor, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily. For I desire to have you know how greatly I struggle for you and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor is with God. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Surely men of low degree are just a breath, and men of high degree are a lie. In the balances they will go up. They are together lighter than a breath.

Luke 6:6-11
Aconteceu também em outro sábado que ele entrou na sinagoga e ensinava. Havia ali um homem cuja mão direita era ressequida. Os escribas e os fariseus o observavam, para ver se ele curaria no sábado, a fim de encontrarem uma acusação contra ele. Mas ele conhecia os pensamentos deles; e disse ao homem que tinha a mão ressequida: "Levante-se e fique em pé no meio." Ele se levantou e ficou em pé. Então Jesus lhes disse: "Vou lhes perguntar uma coisa: É lícito no sábado fazer o bem ou fazer o mal? Salvar uma vida ou matar?" Ele olhou ao redor para todos eles, e disse ao homem: "Estenda a sua mão." Ele o fez, e a sua mão foi restaurada, tão sã quanto a outra. Mas eles se encheram de furor, e discutiam entre si sobre o que poderiam fazer a Jesus.
