Hear, Israel: The LORD is our God. The LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates. It shall be, when the LORD your God brings you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, great and goodly cities which you didn't build, and houses full of all good things which you didn't fill, and cisterns dug out which you didn't dig, vineyards and olive trees which you didn't plant, and you shall eat and be full; then beware lest you forget the LORD, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall fear the LORD your God; and you shall serve him, and shall swear by his name.

The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower. I call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies. The cords of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid. even the God who executes vengeance for me, and subdues peoples under me. He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.

Matthew 17:14-20
Quando chegaram à multidão, um homem aproximou-se dele, ajoelhando-se diante dele e dizendo: "Senhor, tenha misericórdia do meu filho, pois ele é epiléptico e sofre terrivelmente; porque muitas vezes cai no fogo e muitas vezes na água. Então eu o trouxe aos seus discípulos, e eles não puderam curá-lo." Jesus respondeu: "Geração incrédula e perversa! Até quando estarei com vocês? Até quando terei de suportá-los? Tragam-no aqui para mim." Jesus repreendeu o demônio, e este saiu dele, e o menino foi curado desde aquela hora. Então os discípulos aproximaram-se de Jesus em particular e disseram: "Por que nós não conseguimos expulsá-lo?" Ele lhes disse: "Por causa da incredulidade de vocês. Pois eu lhes digo com toda a verdade: se vocês tiverem fé como um grão de mostarda, dirão a este monte: 'Mova-se daqui para lá', e ele se moverá; e nada será impossível para vocês.
