Hebrews 6:10-20

For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them. We desire that each one of you may show the same diligence to the fullness of hope even to the end, that you won't be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and perseverance inherited the promises. For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself, saying, "Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you." Thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men indeed swear by a greater one, and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation. In this way God, being determined to show more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and entering into that which is within the veil, where as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation. The LORD's works are great, pondered by all those who delight in them. He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. The LORD is gracious and merciful. He has given food to those who fear him. He always remembers his covenant. He has sent redemption to his people. He has ordained his covenant forever. His name is holy and awesome! The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

Mark 2:23-28

ED avvenne, in un giorno di sabato, ch'egli camminava per li seminati, e i suoi discepoli presero a svellere delle spighe, camminando. E i Farisei gli dissero: Vedi, perchè fanno essi ciò che non è lecito in giorno di sabato? Ed egli disse loro: Non avete voi mai letto ciò che fece Davide, quando ebbe bisogno, ed ebbe fame, egli, e coloro ch'erano con lui? Come egli entrò nella casa di Dio, sotto il sommo sacerdote Abiatar, e mangiò i pani di presentazione, i quali non è lecito di mangiare, se non a' sacerdoti, e ne diede ancora a coloro ch'eran con lui? Poi disse loro: Il sabato è fatto per l'uomo, e non l'uomo per il sabato. Dunque il Figliuol dell'uomo è Signore eziandio del sabato.
