Exodus 33:7-11; 34:5b-9, 28

Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far away from the camp, and he called it "The Tent of Meeting." Everyone who sought the LORD went out to the Tent of Meeting, which was outside the camp. When Moses went out to the Tent, all the people rose up, and stood, everyone at their tent door, and watched Moses, until he had gone into the Tent. When Moses entered into the Tent, the pillar of cloud descended, stood at the door of the Tent, and the LORD spoke with Moses. All the people saw the pillar of cloud stand at the door of the Tent, and all the people rose up and worshiped, everyone at their tent door. The LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. He turned again into the camp, but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, didn't depart from the Tent. The LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the LORD's name. The LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, "The LORD! The LORD, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth, keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin; and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the children's children, on the third and on the fourth generation." Moses hurried and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped. He said, "If now I have found favor in your sight, Lord, please let the Lord go among us, even though this is a stiff-necked people; pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance." He was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread, nor drank water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

Psalm 103:6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13

The LORD executes righteous acts, and justice for all who are oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the children of Israel. The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness. He will not always accuse; neither will he stay angry forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us for our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Like a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.

Matthew 13:36-43

Alors Jésus, ayant renvoyé le peuple, s'en alla à la maison, et ses disciples, étant venus vers lui, lui dirent: Explique-nous la parabole de l'ivraie du champ. Il répondit, et leur dit: Celui qui sème la bonne semence, c'est le Fils de l'homme; Le champ, c'est le monde; la bonne semence, ce sont les enfants du royaume; l'ivraie, ce sont les enfants du Malin; L'ennemi qui l'a semée, c'est le diable; la moisson, c'est la fin du monde; et les moissonneurs sont les anges. Comme donc on amasse l'ivraie, et qu'on la brûle dans le feu, il en sera de même à la fin du monde. Le Fils de l'homme enverra ses anges, qui ôteront de son royaume tous les scandales et ceux qui feront l'iniquité; Et ils les jetteront dans la fournaise ardente: là seront les pleurs et les grincements de dents. Alors les justes luiront comme le soleil dans le royaume de leur Père. Que celui qui a des oreilles pour entendre, entende.
