Numbers 12:1-13

Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman. They said, "Has the LORD indeed spoken only with Moses? Hasn't he spoken also with us?" And the LORD heard it. Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all the men who were on the surface of the earth. The LORD spoke suddenly to Moses, to Aaron, and to Miriam, "You three come out to the Tent of Meeting!" The three of them came out. The LORD came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the door of the Tent, and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forward. He said, "Now hear my words. If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream. My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house. With him, I will speak mouth to mouth, even plainly, and not in riddles; and he shall see the LORD's form. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?" The LORD's anger burned against them; and he departed. The cloud departed from over the Tent; and behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. Aaron looked at Miriam, and behold, she was leprous. Aaron said to Moses, "Oh, my lord, please don't count this sin against us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned. Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb." Moses cried to the LORD, saying, "Heal her, God, I beg you!"

Psalm 51:3-4, 5-6ab, 6cd-7, 12-13

For I know my transgressions. My sin is constantly before me. Against you, and you only, I have sinned, and done that which is evil in your sight, so you may be proved right when you speak, and justified when you judge. Behold, I was born in iniquity. My mother conceived me in sin. Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. You teach me wisdom in the inmost place. Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways. Sinners will be converted to you.

Matthew 14:22-36

En seguida, Jesús hizo a sus discípulos entrar en la barca e ir delante de él a la otra ribera, entre tanto que él despedía a la multitud. Despedida la multitud, subió al monte a orar aparte. Y cuando llegó la noche, estaba allí solo. Y ya la barca estaba en medio del mar, azotada por las olas, porque el viento era contrario. Mas a la cuarta vigilia de la noche, Jesús vino a ellos andando sobre el mar. Y los discípulos, viéndole andar sobre el mar, se turbaron, diciendo: «¡Un fantasma!» Y dieron voces de miedo. Pero enseguida Jesús les habló diciendo: «¡Tened ánimo! ¡Soy yo, no temáis!». Entonces le respondió Pedro, y dijo: «Señor, si eres tú, manda que yo vaya a ti sobre las aguas». Y él dijo: «Ven». Y descendiendo Pedro de la barca, andaba sobre las aguas para ir a Jesús. Pero al ver el fuerte viento, tuvo miedo; y comenzando a hundirse, dio voces, diciendo: «¡Señor, sálvame!». Al momento Jesús, extendiendo la mano, asió de él, y le dijo: «¡Hombre de poca fe! ¿Por qué dudaste?» Y cuando ellos subieron en la barca, se calmó el viento. Entonces los que estaban en la barca vinieron y le adoraron, diciendo: «¡Verdaderamente eres Hijo de Dios!» Y terminada la travesía, vinieron a tierra de Genesaret. Cuando le conocieron los hombres de aquel lugar, enviaron noticia por toda aquella tierra alrededor, y trajeron a él todos los enfermos; y le rogaban que les dejase tocar solamente el borde de su manto. Y todos los que lo tocaron quedaron sanos.
