Genesis 1:20-2:4a

God said, "Let the waters abound with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the sky." God created the large sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. God saw that it was good. God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth." There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day. God said, "Let the earth produce living creatures after their kind, livestock, creeping things, and animals of the earth after their kind;" and it was so. God made the animals of the earth after their kind, and the livestock after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind. God saw that it was good. God said, "Let's make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." God created man in his own image. In God's image he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them. God said to them, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." God said, "Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food. To every animal of the earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food;" and it was so. God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day. The heavens, the earth, and all their vast array were finished. On the seventh day God finished his work which he had done; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done. God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work of creation which he had done. This is the history of the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens.

Psalm 8:4-5, 6-7, 8-9

what is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honor. You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet: All sheep and cattle, yes, and the animals of the field, the birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, and whatever passes through the paths of the seas. LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Mark 7:1-13

Entonces se reunieron con él los fariseos y algunos de los escribas, que habían venido de Jerusalén. Al ver que algunos de sus discípulos comían el pan con las manos impuras, es decir, sin lavar, se quejaron. (Porque los fariseos y todos los judíos no comen si no se lavan las manos y los antebrazos, siguiendo la tradición de los ancianos. No comen cuando vienen de la plaza si no se bañan, y hay otras muchas cosas que han recibido para aferrarse a ellas: lavados de copas, cántaros, vasos de bronce y camillas). Los fariseos y los escribas le preguntaron: «¿Por qué vuestros discípulos no andan según la tradición de los ancianos, sino que comen el pan con las manos sin lavar?» Les respondió: "Bien profetizó Isaías de vosotros, hipócritas, como está escrito: 'Este pueblo me honra con sus labios, pero su corazón está lejos de mí. Me adoran en vano, enseñando como doctrinas los mandamientos de los hombres.'" «Porque dejáis de lado el mandamiento de Dios, y os aferráis a la tradición de los hombres: el lavado de los cántaros y de las copas, y hacéis otras muchas cosas semejantes.» Él les dijo: "Bien rechazáis el mandamiento de Dios para mantener vuestra tradición. Porque Moisés dijo: 'Honra a tu padre y a tu madre,' y 'El que hable mal del padre o de la madre, que muera'. Pero vosotros decís: 'Si un hombre dice a su padre o a su madre: Cualquier beneficio que hayas recibido de mí es corbán' (es decir, una ofrenda entregada a Dios), entonces ya no le permitís hacer nada por su padre o por su madre, anulando la palabra de Dios por vuestra tradición que habéis transmitido. Vosotros hacéis muchas cosas así".
