Hebrews 7:1-3, 15-17

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, "king of righteousness", and then also "king of Salem", which means "king of peace", without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God), remains a priest continually. This is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there arises another priest, who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life; for it is testified, "You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek."

Psalm 110:1, 2, 3, 4

The LORD says to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet." The LORD will send out the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule among your enemies. Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array. Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth. The LORD has sworn, and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek."

Mark 3:1-6

Volvió a entrar en la sinagoga, y allí había un hombre que tenía la mano seca. Le vigilaban para ver si le curaba en día de sábado, a fin de acusarle. Dijo al hombre que tenía la mano seca: «Levántate». Les dijo: «¿Es lícito en día de sábado hacer el bien o el mal? ¿Salvar una vida o matar?» Pero ellos guardaron silencio. Cuando los miró con ira, apenado por el endurecimiento de sus corazones, dijo al hombre: «Extiende tu mano». La extendió, y su mano quedó tan sana como la otra. Los fariseos salieron y enseguida conspiraron con los herodianos contra él para destruirlo.
